We surprised the whole group with
your Spies
Like Us Team Building Mystery Game by covertly incorporating your characters into
our meeting. They were prepared for a long boring lecture
detailing
a new product for our company from an ET Mars imposter. One of
our supervisors (AKA Wanda Frohickey) jumped up and started yelling
at the guest speaker saying he was not ET Mars. Everyone was stunned.
They couldn't believe she would stand up and yell at such an important
representative of our company. The "real" ET
Mars came out and called for security to escort the imposter from
the building. Out I came in a security uniform and doing my best
Barney Fife impersonation. People were laughing throughout the
dinner and they still thought we actually had a new drug for the
company in development. Overall, we had a great time and we really
enjoyed the dinner. Thank you for the great script and making our
dinner successful. Kind Regards, Daryl Dawson, Quincy, MA
How
our team building murder mystery games are played:
You'll need to provide
a team of 6-8 people willing to take part in the murder
mystery game as the primary suspects, victim(s), detective and
killer.
They'll have full knowledge of the script, which means they'll know "whodunit".
It will be their job, as primary suspects, to work AS AN ENTHUSIASTIC,
WELL-FUNCTIONING TEAM to present a cohesive (and
fun) murder
mystery. The
rest of your participants will become teams of detectives and it
will be their job to actively solve the case - AS A TEAM (handing
in only one solution sheet per team at the end). You’ll
also give them a team project to complete during the course of the
mystery (for multi-tasking and problem solving). Essentially,
everyone will have a crucial part in this fun and effective teamwork
game.
Your
suspects won't have to memorize a lot of dialogue but they will
have to be familiar with a sequence
of events or timeline that
will move the mystery through the clues, the murder(s) and the
solving of the crime. They'll
have to carry out certain actions (like
arguments) and
suspicious activities to set themselves up
as suspects. This is not a stationary mystery - it's action-packed;
our mysteries are designed to get people active and involved unlike
those mysteries-in-a-box where everyone just sits around reading
their part and asking questions they get from a booklet. So
who designs these team work activities?
**DON'T WANT YOUR SUSPECTS TO KNOW WHODUNIT? Add
a narrator to your game. Have the narrator read the script as if
telling a story. Your suspects will need to act out what he or
she says. You'll give them their ONLY characters descriptions ahead
of time but not the script itself. We're currently in the
process of adding this option to all our mystery games so you'll
soon have 2 versions available to you with purchase: Version 1 is our "know it
all "
version where the prime suspects know whodunit; Version 2 is our "narrator"
version where they don't know whodunit. 2 options; one very low
price.
MYSTERY GAMES CURRENTLY
ADAPTED TO INCLUDE THE NARRATOR VERSION: Bordello of the Damned, Diary of a Burning Woman,
Final Cut, Murder at the Midnight Hour, Murder on Maui, My Alma Martyr,
Next of Kin, The Mafia Murders and Vintage Murder. Not
available on all games at this time. We're slowly adapting all our mysteries
but we aren't there yet!

You can easily customize/edit
any team activity in Microsoft Word. If something
doesn't work for you change it (just make sure the suspects maintain
motive to commit the crime!)
The team building murder mystery is great! We held our offsite a few weeks ago
and our management staff performed "A
Deadly Incentive". Your instructions were thorough,
complete and easy to follow. Everyone really got into their
role and had a great time being someone else for a moment.
The audience was completely drawn into solving the mystery,
questioning the suspects,
looking for clues, etc. The best feedback I received was that
this was the best offsite ever, and from a TEAM-BUILDING standpoint
it was a huge success. We couldn't have done it without you...I'm
sure this will be a teambuilding workshop that won't soon be
forgotten. Thank you again and take care. Mary Ann Skudnik, Key Bank,
